Jeff Hansard, Delaware County Chief Probation Officer, was the guest speaker at the May 30 meeting. Mr. Hansard explained the change in philosophy to management of juvenile individuals who enter the Delaware County Justice & Rehabilitation Center. The emphasis is becoming more on finding the services needed by the person rather than incarceration in jail. Mr. Hansard and others are hopeful that this approach will be more successful in helping these juveniles become productive members of our society.
