Sgt. Kris Swanson of the Muncie Police Department (MPD) presented to the Exchange Club of Muncie on July 25. Officer Swanson has been a member of the SMART team at MPD for 14+ years. The Smart team handles child abuse cases in Muncie and he talked about the changes that have occurred during his time with the unit. He also thanked the Exchange Club for its efforts to address the problem thru education and raising awareness by supporting the Prevention of Child Abuse Committee of Delaware County and the Pinwheel project.
