The Exchange Club of Muncie started our 2025 year on Jan. 9 with Sheriff Tony Skinner as our guest speaker. Sheriff Skinner informed us of all the duties and responsibilities of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department. These duties include law enforcement, jail management, serving warrants and court orders, County Courts security and other duties that serve and protect us. On a lighter side, he also informed us that it is NOT illegal to drive a car barefooted nor is it illegal to give the finger to a Deputy. Though a First Amendment right, he did not recommend giving a Deputy the one finger salute. His presentation was informative and greatly appreciated by the members.
